Second session of the week. This time with Ian and Pete leading the way and James and I following.

The route. Hmmm, not 100% ceratin where we went but we headed up over the common and around the back of DERA and over a couple of lanes and up kinda directly under the Beacon then around to the right hand side of the Beacon to attack it from the other side.

Apparently this was a very technical ascent, evident by all the falling off and clambering over rocks to get up there. Also some very narrow tracks with quite a big drop off to the side.

Nearer to the top of the Beacon, very steep and quite a breeze blowing at the top [they need a lake up there ;-) ].

The decent whoohooo, fast and just one big sideways moment, Ian nearly piled into me but recovered and carried on. Great fun coming down and pretty much managed top keep up with the other guys.

This should improve my fitness especially whilst I'm off football with my archilles...
